Shelby Cobra, lead singer of the now-defunct Disney girl band KSM, was arrested early Friday morning for driving under the influence -- and according to our sources ... her blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit. Did we mention she's only 18? Braylon Edwards Will Not be Suspended for DUI

California – The NFL informed the San Francisco 49ers yesterday that wide receiver Braylon Edwards will not be suspended for a DUI arrest that occurred a year ago when he was a member of the New York Jets. Edwards, who pleaded guilty to the charges in July.  He was also fined $50,000 for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Edwards, who finished with 904 yards and a 17.1 yards-per-catch average last year for the Jets, is expected to be one of the 49ers top targets this season. Secret Service Agent arrested for Driving Impaired

(Decorah, Iowa) - Local authorities say they arrested a Secret Service agent on assignment in Iowa to help with presidential security for driving under the influence. City Police Chief Bill Nixon says the driver was was off duty when he was arrested Saturday.   President Barack Obama visited the northeast Iowa city a few days later as a part of his Midwestern tour. SC Man Charged With 6 DUIs In a Year

A Greenville County man was allowed to remain out on bond, after being charged with driving under the influence six times in the Upstate. Prosecutors said all of the charges against Warren Brooks are considered "first-offense" because none of them have been resolved in court yet and, therefore, there are no DUI convictions. Brooks received his first DUI charge in August 2010. A breathalyzer test revealed high amounts of alcohol in his system and he posted the bond, which was set at $4,000. Traditionally law enforcement steps up its efforts during the holiday season. With all of the holiday parties and fêtes taking place, this year is no different. “Partridge Family” Actor Charged with DUI

 WIS News 10 reported that teen heartthrob David Cassidy was charged with driving under the influence in Florida last week. Officers stopped David Cassidy at approximately 6PM on Wednesday afternoon after they witnessed his vehicle swerving. Cassidy informed officers that he had consumed one glass of wine at lunch and taken a pain pill later in the afternoon. SC Requires Ignition Interlock Devices for Repeat DUI Offenders

In an effort to reduce the number of deaths and injuries from alcohol-related accidents, the State of South Carolina has joined an increasing number of states across the country in revising laws pertaining to Driving Under the Influence (DUI) penalties and convictions.
