Rapper Flo Rida arrested with DUI

Another celebrity has been charged with driving under the influence.  This time it was Rapper Flo Rida.  Fortunately, no one was injured.

Police say Tramar Dillard, better known by his stage name, Flo Rida, was spotted driving his Bugatti erratically in Miami early Friday morning on June 10, 2011.

According to the police report, when pulled over, Dillard was slurring his speech and had blood-shot eyes.  Police say the rapper told them he’d had a few drinks and did not believe he could walk a straight line.

The report then says Dillard asked officers to let him walk home after failing a field sobriety test.  He was not the only one trying to solve the situation; a crowd nearby also pleaded with police to let the music star go.

The 31-year-old was charged with DUI and driving with a suspended license. He is being held on $2,000 bond.

TMZ reports that Flo Rida’s Bugatti has a $1.7 million dollar price tag, and was extremely close to being impounded.  One of the rapper’s close friends  got police approval to take the vehicle home after paying the $115 towing fee.

An email sent to his agent was not immediately returned Thursday.  Thankfully, no one was injured by the incident.  Hopefully he will take a limo next time.

Being arrested for DUI does not mean that you are guilty, a bad person, or that you do not have any rights.
